Crappie? Trout? Northern Pike? Walleye? Other?
Don’t forget bluegills and yellow perch in the freshwater group.
As for the saltwater group, beyond grouper, halibut and snapper, I will have to defer to the experts..
I like Crappies and Dungeness crabs.
Any white fish without that "oily" taste.
A sweet meat fish.
There is no accounting for taste! Everyone's taste buds are different, so the different fish are going to be ranked differently by individuals. That's why there is a variety to choose from. Just Sayin...RJS

Guess that analogy explains why some folks will claim hardhead catfish are excellent.....SMH
I would say cooked fish is best, not into sushi that is just like eating your bait
not into sushi that is just like eating your bait.
Sushi is the rice.
Some are raw some cooked and some smoked.
I like some without rice.
Crappie, Largemouth, Flounder. However it matters how it is cooked. That can change everything. World of difference between smoked and fried and much in between. And yes, rehashed topic.
Remember Forrest Gump and "peas and carrots"! Where I grew up in the 1940s and '50s there were a lot of folks who never had fish of any kind and it was seldom even served in local restaurants!
We had fish because we caught ours in the Red River, but this wasn't common for many country folks. I never tasted fried shrimp until I was a freshman in college. Until then, the only shrimp I was acquainted with was that left stinking on the river bank where some other fisherman had left them. Just Sayin...RJS
Which women are best for dating - blondes, brunettes, redheads? There are no answers to these questions.
Crappie , catfish and spoonbill all at the top of my list , I do like most fish I have tried .
The reason walleye is not at the top of one's list is that they haven't tried it.
