I recently bought a used boat with a new (less than 10 hrs.) Yahama 50 hp. Per owners manual, I should use only ethanol-free gas but am having a problem finding any within 75 miles. Does anyone know which brand of gas offers ethanol-free-

You might have to use a additive for your gas issue check with your marine products supplier

If you’re around a farming community ask where they get it. Red gas is ethanol-free and exempt from road taxes.

I’ve noticed that a few Shell stations have ethanol free gas. Look for the blue nozzles…🐟on

I would call your local gas stations to see who offers 91 Octane fuel. There should be a sticker on the pump signifying Ethanol Free, too. Looks like you have Exxon, Mobil and Shell stations in your area. Good luck.

RED GAS??? You mean Diesel? It different colors because when all the rednecks show up at a State Fair the state samples their trucks they drove on a public road. BUSTED.

Diesel is different colors not Gasoline unless you add 2 cycle oil.

I remember when we could buy “red” gas. It was called “high test” back in the day. Most people don’t know what that is. I think you’re referring to “off road diesel” from a farming community though. It has red dye in it to distinguish the high sulfur content. Same as any other diesel full fuel but intended for farm deferral use and cheaper for the farming industry to use off road. There’s not a road tax on it because it’s intended for off road use only. Off road diesel won’t work well in a gas engine.

Do you have a commercial fuel supplier in your area. Usually referred to as an “oil” company of some sort. They generally sell non-ethanol fuel at their distribution facilities.
