Lake Columbia , Texas.
I guess this topic might interest mainly Texas guys. The rumor I’m hearing is there is a new reservoir being proposed somewhere south of Dallas. It will be called Lake Columbia , due to a lot of wreckage from the Columbia space shuttle found in the area. Texas being a big place, I’m probably a little off on proposed location. Anyway it has been proposed, and strong possibility it will happen . Now I don’t spect it to be done in my lifetime, but certainly you youngsters will have a shot at it. Just make damn sure you get there within about 3 years of it opening to the public. Any info you might have would be appreciated...My 2cents

Thanks. Read what I could about it. Billion $ project. 10000 acre reservoir in Cherokee county. Somehow will tie in to someplace in Angelina county and Dallas. No power generator. They are in permit phase since 2015. Federal government b.s.... me being 66 years old, I probably won’t live long enough to pull a fish out of it...but those young guns out there need to keep an eye on it. When Texas parks & Wildlife open it up, it will be like fishing Rayburn the first 5-6 years it opened.....

I thought Angelina County was in East Texas. I’ve never fished Lake Limestone and it’s not that far. I’m 76 and I know I’ll never see it finished or if I do I’ll be too old to get on it. Thanks for the heads up.
