Well, got here yesterday bout 4:30 pm. Bout 70* but soon was down in the 60s. By 10pm it was down to 40*. Woke this morning to 5 inches of snow and 27*.
Was 80* coming through Sacramento yesterday afternoon.
The fire was pretty devastating along the highway in places coming up here. However, was further from our house than what it seemed from the reports.
Someone had moved some of our bear boards from underneath some of our windows. Don't know what is/was up with that, but very thankful no bears got into the house.
Hopefully the snow will melt off the next couple of days before the next storm system
comes in. Leavin for Windsor Thursday morning.
Can already remember why we don't live up here year round anymore. The first snow is beautiful to look at but I'm not lookin forward to gettin out in it. πŸ˜„β˜Ή
Besides, I already miss Striper fishin. πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ‘

Hey buddy. Don't know if I'll go this year, but who knows.
I'm still gonna have to get my huntin license to go pheasant huntin with my AF buddy out at Rio Vista this year. So all it will cost extra is a duck stamp.
I'll try to keep it touch and you can let me know how the huntin is. πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Glad house is OK. Maybe Bigfoot wanted to come inside so moved the bear boards.

I know what you mean about snow. I used to look forward to it. Snow skiing β›· every chance I got. Now I’m not so excited about seeing it.

Glad everything is ok Steve, but the last thing I want to see is S N O W. Although the last time we had snow in October (Halloween Blizzard), the winter after was the warmest I can remember. 40Β°-60Β°highs, and we rode the bikes every month except March, cause it rained every weekend.
Be careful, and have a safe trip back.

Glad to hear that all is well at your remote home! That "first snow" looks spectacular...crisp and cool! You are way ahead of us in Northern Michigan as far as cold temps and snow is concerned in that location!
