Great catch Bucky! We get them up here occasionally. They're all blast to catch. Thanks for the pictures.

I can't eat it, smoked or otherwise. I've used it as bait for catfish for the past 40 years or so. Just has that certain mackerel smell and flavor that is unmistakeable, and I don't find it at all pleasant. Let's smoke some salmon. And your neighbor finfisher smokes catfish that eats really well. I'm all for some of that.

All I can suggest for folks that eat saltwater catfish is serious therapy

Well I didn't know any better, never had any kind of smoked catfish salt or otherwise, he sent me some to try, I did, and it was pretty good. Some crackers and some cream cheese? Hell yeah!

I prefer Modelo. Safeway had Modelo Negra on sale yesterday - 9.99 for a 12 pack. How do you pass that up?-

I'm having a Firestone Walker 805. That's more of a local California beer, brewed in Paso Robles and a couple other CA cities. I like it a lot. Don't know if you can get it in Florida, but if you see it try it. Or stick with the Modelo, nothing wrong with that.
