Not a hugger here, either ! I would
give/accept hugs from mom/
aunts/sisters/grannies/lady friends - males (no matter how close) had
best settle for a firm, warm, dry handshake, and return same ! Any male getting closer than arm's reach is putting themselves in harm's way ! NO ! means NO !, whether you're a male or a female - do NOT try to impose one on someone who
doesn't want one !
As far as males crying - I have done
so (and will admit to it), but only in private, behind closed doors ! Got pretty much cried out when my grandfather passed away and the
girl I loved moved away, just months apart, back in '69 - shed some tears when dad passed, but military
funerals have that effect on me !
Since then my mom, my youngest
brother, my second-youngest sister,
and three best friends have also passed - hardly a tear shed in spite
of how close they all were !
None left, I guess, but none were
ever shed in public - my grief was
my own !
