Caught several at same lake I been frequenting. Ended up with a #18 treble hook in my foot where my big toe bends underneath. I walked from the dock to get truck then backed the trailer down to retrieve the boat. Got out and started walking down dock to untie boat and HOLY MOLY that hurt. The hook must of been in sandal and never hooked me until after all that walking to get truck etc.

It HURT bad and it still hurts BAD every time bend toe or walk. Right near ball of right foot where big toe is up where toe bends. I suggest never getting a hook in there to everyone. It hurt like crazy to remove it too. Took 4 keepers but the bite is slowing down for sure

One of several caught

Nice Trout Jeremy, sorry to hear about the foot. I saw a boat yesterday that made me think of you. I know you are a Trihull owner, and fan. I've never seen one like this before, its an old "Cruisers Inc " cuddy cabin. Thanks for the picture buddy.

It was in very good condition as well Jer. Had a 125 Merc on it, and the gelcoat and windows looked well taken care of.Cool boat.

Ya know Jeremy, for those special moments, like when you are hooked, you can buy Lidocaine to make the removal much less painful. Put a small bottle and needle in the first aide kit. Just in case.

Yeow, sorry to hear about the hook under your toe. Just make sure it doesn't get infected. Hydrogen peroxide. Nice fish!

Some nice bows Jeremy, foot is a sensitive part of the body and I feel your pain. Once stepped on a nail in essentially the same place you described, not nice. Anyway, back to the bows, they headed for the smoker?

Sorry about the hook and where it stuck you. Hope you’re up to date on your tetanus shot. I’ve only been stuck once and it was from my fishing partner casting during a Bass tournament. I was leaned over changing lures when all of a sudden it felt like my right ear was yanked off. He started cussing about a birds nest and I let out kind of a growl. I told him I always wondered how that would feel and now I know. He didn’t know what I was talking about, while he was still mad about the birds nest. I told him to look at my dang ear and that’s why he got the nest. He looked up, saw my ear bleeding, and all he said was I was getting blood on all over his seats. I said that I’d keep bleeding and fishing while he was trying to get the knots out. It was in January on Toledo Bend Reservoir and our rod tips had ice freezing them up so it didn’t bleed long.😂 We ended up placing 1st, but that’s another story.
