Loc: Berrin river lake Kentucky
Heading to Berren river lake in Kentucky in a week or so, can anyone give me some tips and pointers on where to fish for bass on this lake?
cejones: Well, truth be told, those who know aren't telling, and those who don't know are full of free advice! I assume you are asking about black, or Large Mouth Bass, and I live far too far away to be of much help. You are going to have to find 'fishy" spots on your own. Surprisingly enough you may discover fish that others have missed.
Now white, or sand bass are much easier. They usually follow schools of gizzard shad and in the early morning will often force the shad schools to the surface and have some feeding action there. Small jigs, or swimming lures will work there. Later, you can either troll, or bounce jigs or spoon-type lures off ridges of submerged creek banks that enter the lake. Just Sayin...RJS
