Whatever the fish will bite on is my favorite. I'm pretty versatile. But, I fish more Texas rigged worms than anything.

Seems to change with the mood of the fish. Yesterday I started off using a Mepps #2 Comet spinner and caught a couple but the bite was pretty slow. I switched to a wacky rig and caught several bass the largest pictured below maybe 2-1/2 lbs. Then the bite stopped and I switched to a white fluke and caught a few more. My point is I have no favorite I try different approaches until hopefully something works.

I try to fish different techniques based on conditions, but my favorite is a topwater explosion! 🐠🐟

Whatever technique I use....you'd better use something else!! LOL
But anyway, my two favorites (confidence baits) are a spinner bait and a plastic worm.
Also, I have every color in the rainbow and like to try different colors just for fun, but in reality you only need a few: a dark color like black and blue, a white of some kind, Green pumpkin/watermelon, and something with chartreuse in it, like something with a chartreuse tail or a small chartreuse lure. Those are my "high percentage" colors.
I understand Grapevine has some small mouth bass in it. I have never fished those, but some have said they like bright colors. I need to fish there and experiment.

I caught my very first (and only) smallmouth bass on Lake Grapevine last year. About 2 lbs. Bluegill squarebill crankbait by 6th Sense near the south end of the dam. Pleasant surprise. Next cast, a 2 pound channel cat, same lure. Interesting day. 🙂

Definitely crank bait for me but I don’t usually target bass.

Topwater is first. Fun to entice fish to bite. Second is spinner baits. Third, anyway to get the bass to strike.

Favorite is top water but remember you have take the conditions into consideration before you even toss anything out.
