not sure about fabric softener sheets for no see ems but it works for mice so why not? But when I lived up north they use to soak a strip of cloth in diesel and tie it around their hat. I was told it attracts them up to your hat and away from your face. I'm thinking you would want to stay away from your camp fire when wearing your hat although a fire on your hat might also keep them away but I'll let someone else test that out and get back to me.

😀👍

Ditto, picking brush and chantrelles in the great PNW and logging in Alaska. It's possible to develope a real hatred for one of the creaters creations.

For sure. Camped out one night on the way to an army buddies wedding in Maine. It was the crossover between black flies and mosquitoes so I had both.

Have you guys had any trouble with the no see em? They are tiny little black gnats. We haven't had a problem with them all year and all of a sudden they invaded us. Buggin' use to work on them but now it doesn't phase them, and neither does deet. We have had unseasonably warm weather here, which is a good thing but you can't sit outside to enjoy it with those damn things bugging you.

Try skin soft by Avon !!
It works great for mosquitoes, should work for the no see um.
Give it a try

Those dang things were thick here on the Big Salmon River during the triple digit heat. They disappeared when it cooled off.

I remember many years ago, in the 70's I was Deer hunting trying to be very quiet as a slowly moved along and was breathing through my mouth. Do you have any idea how hard it is to not cough with one of those in your lungs?
