How my week has gone

Just completed major milestone number 6 out of maybe 24 on this big project I’m on.
Got a boss actually calling me at 8:30 in the morning knowing I just worked a 12 hour nite shift , asking for updates. Griping about “ oh I told the customer the project would be complete Thursday”. Yea right . Oh and he’s on a beach somewhere on an island in Florida!

Tell the boss there is a 1 in 7 chance the project will be completed on a Thursday as there is one coming up every week 😉

Ben, I feel your pain with management making promises and setting you up for way too much stress! So grateful I was able to retire this year and put work related deadlines behind me. I once told my plant manager that nothing is impossible for the person not doing the work. Didn't go over so well, but it made me feel better.
