It's so good no matter how you cook it you can't screw it up....my favorite is Snook fingers, lightly breaded and deep fried

Have you heard if they’re running the surf or the bays? Artificial or live?

Both, but as the water cools they will slowly move inshore. They will eat lots of different bait, shrimp, pinfish, whitebait, mullet, crabs. I like pinfish because they are so dang tough and will stay lively. Jigs, spoons, crankbaits, swimbaits, throw it in their face and they will hit it. Flairhawk jigs are deadly

Do you have to target them or do they run the same areas with redfish and trout?

They are more territorial, they do move around but not like trout and reds, those suckers move all over the place. Snook like structure most of the time

Piers, docks, rockpiles, rocky shorelines, jetties, around boats in marinas, anything that provides ambush cover, they can be caught sight fishing on the grassflats in spring when the bait shows up. NC is out of their range as far as I know. They will actually go offshore and live around artificial reefs
