Lily Lake, Luzerne Co., SW of Wilkes Barrie, Pa
I am trying to search out excellent fishing lakes and a cabin or moderate home right on the water. Is anyone familiar with this lake or any other good lakes in the area? Viewed same on a map. Trying to line up a number of potential lakes to physically check out since currently 2 1/2 hours away. If familiar with any and can keep eyes open for sales, wiling to pay a finder fee to be discussed if prospect found. Thanks for any help.
Harveys Lake is a hidden gem only 25 miles from Lilly Lake. Large Lake, with a 9 mile shoreline, loaded with brown trout, small and large mouths, and pan fish. Very deep, deepest point 100 ft, but the majority of lake is 30-69 ft deep. A nice public launch. I live on the lake, and fished today. Trolling with downrigger's, I caught rainbow, a couple browns, a pickerel, and about a 3 lb smallmouth. Try it out, I'm sure it offers much, much more than Lilly Lake.

Hello Sammygee. Thanks for the info. This is why I find this site great for we fishermen. I am trying to line up a number of different lakes to seek out excellent fishing coupled with finding a cabin or moderate home on the shore of same. In good health now but as get older, want to just come off the porch and into the boat without hassles.
How many homes/cabins are on the lake and how often do they hit the for sale sign? Better yet, a private sale where both parties win.
Since my search is going to be tied to also purchasing a cabin, if you know of any other great lakes in the area, would appreciate the heads up. Hopefully if have enough different searches going, I will be able to find what I am looking for. Thanks again. Anybass.
At any given time there will be a half dozen lakeside homes. There are no cabins. Be prepared to pay a minimum of 5-600,000. Homes off the lakeside are 100-150K. Many people have bought off the lakeside and rented a slip for 500-800/yr. Very nice double public launch.
Checked out the lake on the internet. Looks great but problem is distance. Even Lily is too far for what I am trying to do, short 2-3day trips. Trying to find things about 2 hours away which would be south of Wilkes Barrie. I appreciate your input and if have any other ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks.
Harveys is 10 miles north of W-B
Thanks for that info. I will check out further exactly how far from me. I am close to the Delaware border in Pa. about 25 miles SW of one of the US crime centers, once called the City of Brotherly Love.
If come across any vg lakes south of WB don't hesitate to send it my way. Hopefully in next month will spend a long day checking out the ones on my list.

To find a lake with a cabin is a hard find around here... But good fishing anyways
I know but I'm at a stage in life where I want that peace of mind to wake up in the morning and just walk out to the dock and me and the boat do our thing. If ever hear of anything on a vg fishing lake or pond, cabin or moderate home, would appreciate the info. Would pay a finder fee for same, especially if a private sale. Looking to stay south of Wilkes Barre but if the ideal situation occurs, willing to go a little further.
