Charter Captains in Cozumel or Costa Maya

Hello all,
I am curious if anyone has direct experience chartering any boats out of Cozumel or Costa Maya that they’d recommend? It’s been about 10 years since my last visit to that area of the world and I honestly thought the floating turd we were on that day was going to go down. It made for a less than stellar trip. I’d like to avoid a similar outing this time around.

I’m not sure how far you are going to be from playa de carma to be specific el cid marina but a few years ago I had the pleasure of going out fishing 🎣 from there we caught Dorado and white Bonito a lot of fun

I've been on two charters out of Puerto Aventura an both had good crew and nicea clean boats. All charters run out of one location but I can't remember the name.

Can't help you with your question, I've never done that, but I know there are guys that have. I suspect they took a look at this forum then checked out
