Took the boat to the shop this morning, they found ignition was wired wrong, when I changed it I made sure they were all back on the same terminals so with all the alarm and other stuff was wrong before. Time to test it out on the water in a day or 2.
Sounds like your about ready buddy. Barrel or muffs is good.
Maybe figure out how to hook the plug or plugs up to that aggravating alarm.
I try to put it in before hitching the boat up to go to water or sea.
A good Bilge pump on auto float is best wired directly to battery ( no additional switches except the float bypass if anything).
Hoping everything works out fine Ronnie. Read you was talking about mixing the oil in the gas just to make sure it's getting oil from the vro. shouldn't hurt anything May smoke a little bit more but eventually may foul the plugs after a while. Good luck man ๐๐

Todays 2 cycle oil would need to be like a quart of it in a gallon to foul plugs. The original motor oil used for 2 cycle applications is 30wt Motor Oil. When it was mixed to rich is when spark plugs fouled. Synthetic is even less likely to ever foul a plug. It is designed to not foul strictly to lubricate before combustion.
That's great news Ronnie, have you run it on earmuffs yet? I'd start it a couple times on the flusher, before heading to the ramp. Waiting on some Finished Product photos.
My Honda Tech told me not to use the ear muffs on my motor something about cavitating so I use a cut down plastic barrel
So far it wont start, have fresh fuel and filled the oil, new plugs. I disconnected the fuel line and its getting somewhere there, wondering if the carbys are gummed up. starter is engaging ok.

Iโll keep my fingers crossed for you Ronnie. Hope you can get that boat going.๐ค Hack ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐บ
Thanks hack, taking it in to get the carbys checked and cleaned, was sitting out for years
Thatโs sure not good on a boat. Glad youโre taking care of it Brother. Itโs a beautiful boat now. Lots of hard work and headaches, but when itโs finished itโs worth it. Hack ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐บ

Good Luck Ronnie I Truly hope it works Great for you.
Took the boat in this morning, they're going to take out the VRO, suggested mixing oil in the fuel and cleaning the carbys. They'll test it and all should be ok. Will report when it's ready to test out

Sounds like a plan Ronnie. Many of the rebuilding places around here remove the oil injection because they fail often, on all brands. Nothing wrong with old school pre mix. Anxiously waiting for splashdown, and maiden voyage pictures.
