Looking for fishing reports on surf fishing
Currently there are some smaller bluefish in the surf along with some kingfish. Flounder season us closed. You might find an odd striper, but it's still too early for them.

Hi, I have been permanently disabled and have been out of the picture on my Beloved IBSP for the past couple of years. I have been progressing and am ready to drown some clams, but mostly am interested in some nice cocktail blues as I am definitely a meat man. Strippers are great fun but I just catch and release them. I also have accidentally caught some Kings in the past and they are delicious 🤤. Can you please kick my memory a bit on what type of rig do I use/or size hook 🪝 I use for King Fish 🎣? Also, what do the blues seem to be taking? Rattlers or??? So Sorry for the stupid questions but I got dumped on my ass for the past couple of years with this disease 🦠 and just coming out of the frigging fog 🌫! Best Regards,
Paul
Paul, no apologies needed. Any bait shop you can get to will have premade kingfish rigs. A piece of blood worm or some fish bites artificial baits are all you need, with a 2 or three ounce sinker. The smaller blues have been around here and there. A double drop rig with a 1/0 or 2/0 hook will do you fine. Use small bunker chunks for bait.
Thank You Very Much Sir,
Paul
