FT don't ever depend on someone else to put the plug in. After driving 125 miles got to lake. Jumped out told guy with me a very experienced boater I had to use restroom. He said go ahead I'll get the boat ready. WRONG. He dropped me in n a few minutes later I realized I was filling up with water. Now that's my job n mine alone. Good luck brother 👍🐱

Agree with you there. I'm just takng someone along as a backstop. Sorta like when somebody forgets to do something they get reminded. I use a laminated check sheet that I keep in the boat.

That was only my 2nd trip out with my boat. I was in boat owners headstart 😬. I also learned that day to make sure not only is the bildge pump working but that the discharge hose isn't clogged or broken. Unfortunately some things you can check till you get on the water. 👍👍
