Meet Huey
Wife saw a Facebook thing last night someone looking for a home for this little guy
Story is , this lady is driving her daughter to school one morning this week. Still dark and saw this dog walking down the middle of the street.
She stopped and the dog sat down and just looked at her
She opened the car door and he jumped in and made himself comfy

She took him to a vet and they scanned for his chip. Sure enough , vet gave the lady the owners contact info
She called and apparently the owners were in the middle of a bad split and neither wanted the dog.
So he was basically just roaming around till this nice lady stopped and helped him out.

Picked him up today. He’s very mellow, well behaved and responds immediately to come ,stay, sit, lay down don’t know what else he knows yet , but he seems to listen to what your telling him
Little sweetie.
I think we will be buddies

Glad the poor dog found a good place to stay and good for you. I don't know how people can just abandon their animals and toss them aside when they no longer have a use for them. People like that should be dropped out in the middle of the wilderness somewhere with out any supplies and see how they like it. But you said they were going through a bad divorce which says something about their understanding of commitment and explains a lot.

There is a reason somewhere that you have a new buddy Ben. Coincidence? Don't think so.

Might want to get him a new chip. Don't want to lose your bud.

I think he’s had a hard few days.
But he’s in good shape. Don’t look thin , feet are in good shape and his teeth look good.
Lady washed him so good to go there. No skin issues aside from a real small healed scab on his head and ears look good.
I think he’s good to go
Gotta get him to the vet and get him checked out also need to schedule neuter
He’s a little guy. Maybe 30 pounds
He’s white but has blonde markings on his back and tips of ears.

People hurting kids , women and animals are the lowest of the low in my book.
It don’t cost a dime to respect those around you. And who knows , you might even like yourself a little better

Yeah, I'd give him two weeks at lease, to see how it takes to you, and to see if he likes to take off on his own.
Other than that, he is good looking dog, good shape, nice demeanor.

See if he has webbed feet, might be a water dog in his mix. If not you might have to introduce slowly to the water.
Kudos to you and the misses.

Blue Skies Always Ben,

BD
