Nice Smallmouth Bass
Nothing like catching a large bass on a kayak.

Thank you texaswomack! I probably spend as much time in my kayak as I do sleeping! Aside from stream wading for trout, I really enjoy fishing from a kayak.

Nice Small mouth fishyaker! My favorite species to catch! Good luck and be safe

Thank you bassmatter! Our opening day for bass around here is in late May...although they now allow "catch and release" tactics before that. I am waiting for air temps to rise a little more before I get the kayak season started!

PB for a Winter catch. Didn’t have a scale or outstretched arm. Very cold water. Fought like a catfish. Slow powerful swirls. Didn’t know what I was into until I pulled it out of the water.

Nice one Jwid, the spinnerbait looks familiar.

I posted this before. Still my only picture of one of the bigger Bass. Especially for Winter action.

My 8 pounder was before camera phones. I have a similar mounted fish on the wall. Bought it in Boston for $40. It had some cracks in the belly that I fixed with epoxy. Mixed in a little cotton fiber from a cotton ball and it won’t crack again. Saved $800 the taxidermist wanted to charge for the real thing. It isn’t my fish, but the memory is vivid.

Thanks
