Well guys, got to the dock and met David there and we got launched and ready to fish.
Started up the motor and started pullin away from the dock and the steering was frozen up. Finally got it to turn to the right but not to the left. Kept tryin to move it back and forth and then it kinda locked up and I tried to force it and stripped some gears or something under the steering wheel. Now the motor is locked up and won't turn either way. At least the motor is sittin pretty straight and trailers just fine. Had to use the trollin motor to get back to the dock. OH well. If it's not one thing it's a half a dozen others.

Well we all know that a boat is a hole in the water we throw money into

Apparently it doesn’t like the new carpeting and seats? 😉
I hope you get it figured out soon!

Sorry to hear that Steve, that, is not a good thing. My dad, Thirsty, had a philosophy, that if it didn't work, get a bigger hammer, that is not always the best solution. You could be in the penalty box for a while.

Afraid so. If it just needs a new cable, that's 150. If it is something else besides the cable it's gonna be more.
Cable replacement it 2 hours@100 per. So we're lookin at 350+ min.

Some days it just seems as though nothing goes right. Hope all get it straightened up soon and hopefully it won’t be anything too serious

Thats exactly what has kept mine in the shop since April. In fact, looks like yours took the place of mine in the injured list. They just called .e today to come pick it up.. it's finally finished. Let me know if you need help figuring it out. It's usually a pretty simple fix. Mine was the cable . Usually it's in the linkage at the motor. What held mine up fir so long was the switch that controls the tilt was bad. Call me or pm if you need belp.

Thanks FT. I'll just end up takin it to my mechanic and that will be that. I'll talk to my neighbor who's a mechanic and see if he wants to make any money on the side. If not, no problem I'll just take it to my mechanic.

My heart goes out to you my brother.
If it has wheels, propeller or a skirt, it can get expensive 🤔

Sorry to hear that Steve. Hopefully it's just the cable and not the steering box as well. Good luck buddy!
