I was fishing on the Two Medicine River near East Glacier, caught a few healthy cutty’s and upon returning to the car I was greeted by a Blackfeet Nation Game Warden who ticketed me for fishing without a tribal permit. Ticket does not have a price or violation #. Just a number to call to take care of it. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? I haven’t called the number yet.

Hmmm...that is a bit odd. I have fished that water only once, and did quite well. Beautiful setting to be in but I am also quite sure that I was well within the "boundaries" of Glacier National Park.
That being said, I do believe that the river does run out into what could be restricted areas outside of the Park itself. I think a warning would have been more fair...and not a ticket.
Going into what constitutes "fair" with a Native American, puts you on pretty shaky ground.

Good point! Perhaps the best thing to do is acknowledge the ticket and pay up. When push comes to shove, I think we all have to agree that at some point back in history something very precious was stolen from the residents....
Not sure if you could get away with doing something of that magnitude nowadays!
loan_ketter let fishyaker talk him into copping to the ticket and paying the fine. Fishyaker admitted that he had gotten a ticket also and decided he would contact the tribe along with loan_ketter. They each received a notice from the council telling them that their fine was 15,000 dollars and that they were more than welcome to come before the council and argue for a reduction. They decided to go together to face the council.
Once there they both pled their case and profusely and humbly apologized and assure the council that such a thing would never happen again.
The chief pondered their pleas and their apparent sincerity and told them he had come to a decision. They could either pay the fine of $15,000 or submit to the. council and endure the punishment of Boochaka.
Well, loan_ketter didn't know what that was, but he didn't have that much money so he agreed to submit.
"Boochaka it is!" proclaimed the chief.
All the council members drew around loan_ketter, they took hold of him and stripped him naked, then bent him over the council table and they all had their way with him while he howled in shame and fury.
When that was over with the chief looked at fishyaker and said "Well, what's it to be?"
Well fishyaker thought that the fine was absolutely outrageous, but he sure didn't want to go through what he had just witnessed. And he did have the money. "I'll pay." says fishyaker.
"Pay the fine it is!" proclaimed the chief.
But first a little Boochaka.

If I interpret the parable correctly...and those words could easily have come from the writings of a Native American Indian's prophetic decree back in the day, your story is "spot on" with what happened....
No offense yaker - just seemed to be a good time for you get in the bucket along with everyone else.
No worries...I like being considered as part of the "crowd" here! No offense taken! I have read some pretty funny jokes, stories and accountings of others that get mixed into interesting "plots" from time to time on here, and it is all in good form...
I have always had a "soft spot" in my heart for individual folks, or people groups throughout modern history that have not necessarily gotten the best treatment by others...which was where my comments were rooted on that particular post.
I really can do nothing to repair the past...and my life creedo is to simply do my best to make this world a better place while I am here. Although frail and human, and not even close to being perfect, all I can do is give it some genuine effort and hope that something positive results from time to time.
As many have stated here, while this forum tries to focus on fishing, we subliminally accomplish much more than that with all of our participation! It's a very cool thing, and by the way, the planned "meet and greet" sure sounds like a great upcoming event for next year. I hope that it comes to fruition and many folks can make it. You might almost consider it to be on par with the Sturgis bike rally, the Oshkosh airshow...or perhaps "fishing Woodstock!"
Let's talk fishing, and leave all that other stuff for Facebook.

I'd call Fish and Game and ask them what's going on. See what they advise before calling the tribe.
They not happy with all the casino money?
