A buddy of mine gave me an old Penn 209. I think he said it bought back in the 50's. He has no idea if its ever been cleaned. What kind of grease/oil/lube should I get? Any thoughts or tips on cleaning would be helpful. I've never taken apart a reel like this.

Check out 2nd chance tackle on YouTube I’m sure he would have a video on that reel in his library! This guy is great for step by step reel repair ! Watching his videos has helped me numerous times!
