I have an ultra light rod where I use power pro braid on a shimano Sienna 1000. I use a mono leader and rooster tail tied to the mono. Lately I have been getting a knot 10 feet down from my leader knot which never happens with just braid or just mono. Could it be line twist? Wind knot? I use pretty good reel technique. Never had this problem before.

What size braid and mono are you using?
yes make sure up on the line approx 14inches place a small swivel to your line this will take out the spinner from spinning & twisting ! trust me it works
