I just vacationed in the Belhaven area and the trout, drum, flounder and stripers were hitting my diesel Z man blue glimmer with shrimp scent on a daily basis.

Check with locals about flounder. I believe the flounder season is over.

Tight Lines to you Rand, my fishing friend that lives on the Pamlico is having good luck with the Z man Slim shady. I am a kayaker and he is a boater that knows how to be stealthy on the water.

I went out once with my host where i was staying in his pontoon boat. I had to take the helm after i let him pick the first 2 spots. Then the bite was on. Its all in the approach to where you are going to fish.

Coast in and quietly lower the anchor in what ever craft you are in. Also drift fishing paid off very well too.
