Drag not nearly high as it claims on Avet TRx 80 Quad

I just purchased an Avet TRx 80 reel for beach shark fishing. It claims to have 100+lbs of drag. When I lock it down it is nowhere close to that. Maybe 40lbs at most. I can pull it out with just my hand. Am I doing something wrong?????

Sure sounds like something is flaky . If purchased at a tackle shop or retail store-in-store go back and compare with another one. If from web store, return it. Get your money back and no Store Credit nonsense. Then go to your local tackle guy. He or she has the expertise and almost certainly needs the business. Loose them, and we will all be sorry when we gotta deal with Internet shopping exclusively.
