It’s not how you’re doin’ today that bothers me, Dave. It’s how you will spend eternity that concerns me. I cannot judge anyone’s soul, but what I’m hearing is men making plans for
“when they get to Hell” in so many words. I just can’t imagine how anyone can seriously have no fear of spending eternity in such a horrific place of torment.

I was not looking for or asking to debate - but that is nothing new. It helps nothing if I am right OR wrong. That’s not why I was asking you about what your thoughts are on the Bible. Your post confused me and I was only trying to find out what you based your post on. If a person does not believe the Bible is true or was inspired by God, then it is senseless for me to use it as an example or a teaching tool when talking to that person. I am fully aware that I am not always “right”, but as a believer (I) believe the Bible IS always right.
For that reason, I don’t give MY opinions, but instead, give scriptures from the Bible. If anyone disagrees, they are not disagreeing with me because the words are not mine, but God’s.

Randy...I wasn't trying to put you off. What I believe is complex set of experiences and observations over many, many years. I once believed in the Bible the same as you do and still hold it in very high regard. I just no longer believe it is a perfect representation of the God I love and believe in. As I stated earlier, I have no fear for my soul because I believe this to be true. I can never believe God sends good men to hell because they didn't follow the checklist.

I dont want to rain on any ones day or feelings, but if you believe what you want to feel comfortable...dont worry about what others tell you is right or wrong..its been put down on paper as scripture and if you cant find the right meaning behind them...its no ones fault except your own.You see, it was written as to how The Bible would be deciphered as this or that..its been written how others will bend and twist things to their liking, or just flat out deny it all as old time rubbish and story telling. Sorry, but we're going thru yet another ruff patch here and scripture has given us comfort.Jesud wasnt trying to harsh your mellow when he said" no one cometh upon the father except by me". Thousands of young men storm the beach at Normandy. They answer the call of duty to their country. Many have not committed their lives to Christ. They have not said the sinners prayer. They have not opened their hearts to invite Christ in. Many are fine upstanding young men that haven't had enough time on this earth to decide to follow the Biblical path to eternal life. For their courage and their sacrifice to their country they are awarded an eternal life in hell? Not by the God I believe in. Not by the Creator I love.
