It’s been years since i have wet a line so i have decided this fall and winter I am getting my gear out.
Trying to find out if anyone can tell me anything about Lake Gregory in Southern California?
Welcome. There's a bunch of guys from Cal, but I'm not one. They'll be around.

Bent rods for ever
Lake Gregory,Dixon and Poway can be very productive trout locations….can’t wait for colder weather and stocking resumes.
Thanks
Its been awhile since i have wet a line without letting the cat out of the bag
Can you tell me what baits I should look for? When does stocking start?
I don’t get around as well as i used too are their some good areas to fish that are not to far of a walk?

feeling.
If you fishing during the weekend leave very early in the morning!! Because it get crowded!!! And know they charge to fish the lake now.
Use power bait with 18 to 24 inch leader yellow corn and Salmon color and also the mouse tail in different colors.
Good luck
And check out your local parks that have lakes they also plant trout in these lakes certain times of the year.
Where do you live ??

I live in Santa Ana. The old Irvine lake was my go too for trout used to fish from pontoon boat or the shore when they allowed you to drive it. I have a bit of a time getting around now a days arthritis in my back so any walks that are a distance are not to good
I have been told at gregory you can pretty much drive and drop fishing during the week no problem i am retired
Thanks for the updates

I use to live in orange 🍊 county , Yorba Linda I also fished Irvine lake for years.
Yorba Regional Park on LA Palma has 3 lakes and they plant it with Catfish and trout . Trout plant is when it is cooler in the year. They plant usually on the 2nd week of the month when they start putting trout in the lakes.
You can call the park system also the park off Lincoln by the the brick yard and Tri City park in Placentia, all easy access for you to fish. Hope this helps you out. I have fished all of them for years. All very clean parks good luck.
Power bait and Berkeley power worms and the mouse.
Good luck fishing
If any ? Send me a PM
And I'll tell you where to go.
Safe times on the water
