Spinnerbaits for smallmouth?

Anybody have any preferred spinnerbait for smallmouth? I’ve used the cheap pond magic spinnerbaits for their size and I’ve also used some full size ones. I’ve found it hard to find one between these sizes without making one of my own. Also, what’s everyone’s favorite way to power fish for river smallies?

I just use a 1/6 or 1/32 ounce marabou jig on a safety pin spinner. I have caught tons of smallest on that setup. Also occasionally get a walleye or Northern pike as well

I have better luck with inline spinners like Mepps style for SM bass. Suggest you try those as well as what you are using and compare. As they say in advertising circles : results may vary. I go with what works for me. Could just be the way I fish them? Don't really know.

A twister tail instead of marabou also works well.

I have tried inline spinners as well but don't seem to have as good of luck with them around here.

The only problem I have with twister tails is short strikes that just rip the tail off. But you're right they do work.
