Been a long time since I ate it but mostly gluten fried with mustard on rye bread. You can use it pretty much any way you use ham including slice cold from the can.

I’ve eaten it quite a bit but always just as lunch meat on a sandwich with mayo, lettuce and cheese or with scrambled eggs on a sandwich with mayo. It’s a good, go to, for ease of handling while fishing all summer. I consume lots of spam and balogna. Cheap and easy while busy with everything else. Then I’ll bring along some good ham for my dinner meal as a sandwich. Not much cooking goes on when I’m fishing full time. Spam and scrambled egg sandwich for breakfast with coffee, bologna and cheese samdwaich for lunch and a ham sandwich with all the fixings for dinner.

I can remember my dad and uncles getting together on Veterens Day for Spam cookoffs. Each had a slightly different recipe depending on what side ingreadiants were available in their AO. On any other day of the year they would grimace if they had to utter that four letter word

Not a big fan of Spam myself, however, I think that folks might get a good chuckle from an old Monty Python sketch named "Spam" from back in 1974. Whether you enjoy Spam or not...definitely worth a couple of minutes spent watching the clip!

I think I found a working link. You just need to "click" on the picture when the opening scene loads....enjoy!

Funny story about spam Bob. My dad was in the navy and served in the Pacific. When they shipped out to Pearl about 80% of the guys on board were seasick. Dad was not and loved spam. Did not have a problem finding extra helpings! I never understood why he liked it.

Yes it is. And about the only way I eat it is in a thing called a musubi at the L&L Hawaiin BBQ. I'll have one about once a year just to remind myself of how nasty it is.

Yep that is spam nigiri - grilled spam on rice and wrapped in nori.
In case you're wondering, nori is dried seaweed.

Yum.

My wife likes it. I'll pass generally.

If I want something out of a can, I go for Hormel beef tamales. Or corned beef hash.
