Okay everyone it’s a start anyway. Posted yesterday about some new water I was going to try. Thanks to all that advised. Didn’t have time for a shopping trip so I just kinda improvised. Doug out some in line spinners and went to casting. Worked some exposed timber with submerged wood everywhere! Managed a few in the boat only had a couple hours to fish. Right in the middle of the day, hardly prime. Lost 3 boat side Paper mouth !!!! Was kind of strange for crappie fishing, pick up one but it didn’t seam they had any neighbors. Nice fish though, the big ones are right at 12”. Gonna work on this a bit, I’m thinking this could be a consistent producer once I get it dialed in.

Yes indeed! Off to a grand start on that new body of water! Very cool that you coaxed them into striking a spinner! Keep it up and enjoy those delicious fillets! The lake sounds precarious to fish in terms of potential snags...which is probably why those crappie love the underwater cover!
