His question was "why are all the people who have been v******ted so they're now safe from c***d so worried about those of us who don't get the shot? According to them they can't contract the v***s now and if they do they don't have to worry about dying from it if they're v******ted". Any ideas? I told him they can still contract and spread the v***s just as easily as people who are NOT v******ted and the v***s they spread is just as dangerous to others except THEY'RE own symptoms are lessened. Which is the t***h. Maybe I'm wrong🤷🏼‍♂️.
I think the answer is that a lot of the folks getting v******ted are doing their best to take care of themselves AND doing what's best for the entire population. They care about people other than themselves - that's why they're concerned about other people getting v******ted. It ain't rocket science.

Exactly. Public health concerns. You got it in a nutshell.

I'm still a little confused on the breakthrough case thing. I had dinner with some friends last night and one of them is fully v******ted and has contracted c***d twice since. He tested negative a week ago but he said he needs another booster before long. He had no adverse reaction after the first shot but the second one made him so sick he couldn't work for two weeks. He said he was sure he was gonna die. He still thinks he did the right thing and I supported him. It was his choice and so far he's doing ok. Are there different levels of ingredients in the different shots or do different people just react differently? I'm not trying to cause any fights here but I told him I had the perfect place to ask the question. Lots of different opinions and views on things here on the stage and it's a good example of how people think about different things. I can ask that same question to a different group of people and get completely different responses. Here on the stage it's an obvious response from select people. Yours is a no BS, to the point, response according to your opinion and it ALWAYS answers the question in laymen's terms . I appreciate your opinion and that it doesn't come across as a direct attack. Thank you.

Spirit 0f27: I appreciate your posts but not so sure you have this one right. I think in a lot of cases it is like the first part of a poem I like by Stephen Crane
"Think as I think," said a man,
"Or you are abominably wicked;
You are a toad."
And after I had thought of it,
I said, "I will, then, be a toad."
Stephen Crane
I think a lot of time it is more about self righteousness than concern for others. They may get the v******tion because they are concerned about themselves and others but then when they move on to mandate and force others to do what they do it is no longer about concern for others it is more about Lording it over others and proving they are right and others who don't agree are wrong and not giving them the same right of personal choice that they themselves had. Maybe not rocket science but maybe science of Phycology or the study of human behavior. As for me "I think I will then be a toad"
You are exactly right. Search CDC and NIH and you will find validation

I'm not sure what the answer is to the whole thing, but latest report is that 95% of the people bein hospitalized in Florida from C***d aren't fully v******ted. If that doesn't open a few eyes to how serious this is and the need to be v******ted then I don't know what will.
Brad just called me and told me that a good friend of ours, an anti vaxer, who just didn't believe he needed to get the v*****e because he just didn't feel that he really needed to. For wh**ever reason?
Anyway, he came down with c***d and had it so bad for 4 weeks he really thought he was gonna die. HELLO!
It IS more serious than a cold OR the flu. He is goin in to get his first shot tomorrow. At least it opened his eyes and he sees how serious this is and is tryin to take precautions now.
I know a lot of the guys on here feel that they don't need the v*****e and I truly hope they don't catch this stuff,as I wish for us all. However if you do catch this stuff, you just might not be as lucky as my friend Wayne.

Amen Saw, it can be devastating and I'm not talking about news or social media, and that's all I have to say about that

Yes it can. Glad my friend made it out alive and sees the light, so to speak.

ironically now that he survived c***d he has better natural immunity than the shot can give him so at this point it is kind of a mute point. But it was his choice and he chose to take the risk, while he didn't make the same choice I would of made I firmly believe in a free country everyone has the right to make that choice. Glad he was among the 99.95% of the population who got c***d and survived. By the way I have had the normal flu where I was sick and thought I was going to die and my mother actually did die from the flu a couple years ago even though she was v******ted so the common flu is also nothing to dismiss lightly
There are a lot of conspiracy theories going around. Some are probably true.
I don’t understand the no v*****e sentiment unless of course your Dr says you can’t. Shingles, pneumonia are great new v*****es that work and save lives. And then there’s church where half are getting v******ted and half aren’t believing God will take care of them. I respect their choice but it sounds a lot like the man on his roof in a flood waiting for God to rescue him. He drowns and asks God-I thought you were going to rescue me? Gods answer— I sent the boat, then the helicopter. You refused them so I figured you didn’t want my help.
Last week one of my best friends, a pastor who didn’t believe in the v******tion got C***D and died. I’m devastated and will miss him.
If you’re a believer be assured God is over and created science. Get the shot—God Will do the rest.
