Now I know many of you can relate to the caption below both those that played and those that watched the game.
In our everyday lives we can sit on the bench of life and watch it go by.
Or we can run to each base one at a time.
I prefer to shake off the bruises life brings us and tell stories that will be passed from generation to generation.
Anybody want to go out back and throw the ball around?

Sure. Let's have a catch. Plenty of bruises playing catcher in high school and sandlot ball as a kid.

my dad tore the cartilage in his knee playing hot box with my brother and I. When we run into life issues we need to shake it off and continue living because life is to short to dwell on the past.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The country song says it sll,," I hope you dance."
Luckily for me that Chicks dig scars…I’m in. We may have to stand a LOT closer than we used to, though. Now, where is that old glove???

Like OJ said. Got to stand a little closer. And like the song goes. I ain't as good as I one was, but I'm good once as I ever was.

Good mornin,' plum. Not today, but thank you anyway.
Well that is 4 of us to throw the ball around, the rest of you all getting old on me?
Give me a half hour or so to get it greased up and loose, I'll be there. Arm's hurting just thinking about it. That's all I did for about 30 years was play with my balls.

I was better on the catching end than the throwing end. Played 7 years at first for slo-pitch softball. I think I can still throw but there won't be a lot on it.
I’m kinda in the same spot as dbed these days, with bad shoulders; hard to throw a ball overhand. Played (and coached) fast pitch softball in city league in KC for several years after High School. Most of my team were guys from HS. (Mostly basketball players)
Lots of good memories now; not much actual playing. Gave my good Wilson glove to my SIL a few years ago; told him he would get a lot more use out of it than I. He coaches a youth team that his two sons play on. Love to watch the grandkids play ball!

I played quite a lot of fast pitch softball while I was in the Navy. Great game. All I see now is girls playing it in college. What gives guys?

That's what my one (of 4) granddaughters plays. She loves any game that includes a ball. She's working on lacrosse now as well.
