How do people typically store their fish on their kayak? I own a Lifetime Tamarack which has space for a small cooler in the back but I was curious to know how others store their catch.
Also, should I try to install an anchor to my yak?

An anchor is nice in case of you get into a nice school of fish. I normally tie a stringer to the side and put what I am keeping on there

I use a stringer as well but there are ice bags that secure to the yak that you can buy for storage.

The Dolphin try to steal mine!
I used a basket. I made me an anchor with a 1 lb coffee can filled with concrete it weighed 9 lbs
A mesh bag, large enough to hold your stringer will keep the fish alive, and fresh, and protect your catch from predatory fish, and birds. There are anchors made specifically for yaks, that store in a container, with line. Youcan also make a home made oversize minnow bucket, with an attached rope, and holes to allow the exchange of oxygenated water.

I use a fish basket. When I’m done fishing, I place it on top of the bow so I don’t have to drag it in the water. I have dragged walleye on a stringer. I bought a long sealable nylon bag to drag my catch, but have not tried it yet.
I use a fish bag made for this
In North Florida there are far too many gators and water moccasins to put them back in the water.
