Well guys, got to the river bout 0800. To the fishin grounds bout 10 after. By 0815 I had missed my first 3 fish. Just couldn't keep them buttoned. Bout that time Brad hooks his first fish. He gets it to the boat and I net it. It's 25 inches and went 7 pounds.
We keep fishin and I land a little one and miss 2 more.
Went up into the slough and started fishin up shallow and Brad says he see one's fin goin through the shallow water. He casts over near it and so do I. He hooks into a NICE one and says "Grab the net". I say OK and start reelin as fast as I can and all the sudden WHAM, I'm hooked up with a NICE one also.
I hand the net to Brad and he finally gets the fish in the net and onboard. Sets his rod down and gets the fish out of the net and is ready to net mine.
I had been letting mine run a little so we wouldn't get tangled up with each other so I start workin it back to the boat. I finally get it to the boat and I'm pullin pretty hard tryin to get it to the net and now it's right by the boat and my lure goes flyin out of it's mouth. Just as the lure comes out of it, Brad stabs down with the net and comes up with the fish.
I thought it was gone for sure. Goes to show you how important a good net guy is. Most anyone else wouldn't have gotten it.
We catch a few more smaller ones and the wind really starts blowin so we call it a day at 11am.
Only kept the 3 and we probly caught 12 to 15 maybe.
When we got back home we weighed them and like I said, the first one was 25 inches and 7 pounds.
Brads big one was 28 inches and 8 pounds. Mine was 26 inches and 8 pounds. Mine was REALLY a deep fish compared to Brads.
No quantity today, but the QUALITY was really nice.

Nice job guys, those are beauties. You see, this is why you need a Go Pro on your boat Steve. I can see the 2 of you trying to catch and net 2 fish at the same time. That would be an awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
