Open public fishing in Northampton county Pa

Been looking for places to fish for Bass or anything else .seems to me that most of the water is private or are little holes with no access.the places I can go you really need a boat .I fish from shore don’t really want to buy a boat again any suggestions

Miley I'm in Franklin co so i can't help there. Go on pa fish n boat site. You'll find a list waterways in ea county. some are private most are public 👍👍

There’s 3 really good public ponds recently acquired by Bushkill township. One on Biel avenue, another on Kromer road and my favorite on Albert road.

This subject has come up before. Get a u shaped float tube. They are about the price of a quality rod and cost lot less used. It will open a whole new world. You don't have to go far, just outside the shore weeds that restrict shore casting. I am in my seventies. I have had multiple knee surgeries and lost part of a lung but can use my tube (while wearing a life jacket) with no problem. I often go about casting distance from shore and drop anchor. It's like being in a whole new lake free of shore pressure.

If you go that route, get the u-shape, not the donut shape. The difference on the water and getting into them is totally different, with the u-shape winning in every category except price. A few dollars makes the difference between fun and frustration.

if theres a place that looks like the perfect spot, and its private...get yourself to look respectable and go ask for permission to fish there. Promise not to leave anything behind, including cigarette butts if ya smoke, and even pick up trash if you see it lying aroundAnd be polite to the owner if they refuse you this time...cuz there miight be a next if the chance comes around.

Miley, the Biel Avenue pond is just on the outskirts of the town of Nazareth.
