I sure do not have the magic of Saw1, trolled up and down the Petaluma river, pulling silver and blue 1oz rattletraps from 2.3 to 5.5 mph, hooked one fish that broke off near the boat. Was a beautirul day on the river, kind of windy but not enough to bother the fishing. Fished from below Gilardi's all the way up to Haystack, marked lots of fish on the finder, just not a catching day I guess.

Hey Tom. The fishin should start pickin up pretty good next month on the Pet. Did your fish break off with your lure still attached to it or did it just come unbuttoned?

Just came unbuttoned, was probably a shaker, 17-17.5 maybe. Got to see it and it just opened its mouth and spit the lure out, must have just nicked his lip. Will probably see you out there next month then. You were out on lake Sonoma today, see you got a nice Cat, love to do that, where do you launch at Sonoma? Long walk to the water at the public ramp.

That's the place buddy. Yep it's a LOOONG walk for sure.

What was the tide like on the Pet today?

We fished the top of the tide, took a boat ride out to the bay, it was very very flat! The river was choppy though. When we started fishing it was probably 10:30 or so, the tide was high around noon, got off the river about 2:00.
