Got back from the lake and thought I would post a couple of pics.
Was slower today than last week, but still managed to have a good day. Even caught a little channel cat on my drop shot worm. Only caught 2 SM, 1 bout 2 pounds the other a dink. All the rest were LM.
Of course, the largest one, bout 2 3/4 pounds got away. Got it to the boat and Steve says ,"You want me to net it". I say Nah, it's OK. I then grab the line and lift it up and it gets to the top of the gunnel and he gave one last flop and SNAP. the line broke right at the knot. Palomar.
Wasn't the knot's fault. Just my stupidity.
Just a few too many fish on that knot and that was all it would take.
Ended up keepin 5 . Filleted them and takin them to Bible Study in a little bit.
Will be out at the same place tomorrow with Old Jim. Hopefully we'll have at least as good a day as today.

The same. Robo worms on a drop shot.
I've caught 5 different channel cats out there and everyone seems to be a different color. Blue, gray and yellow.

I think their environment and diet may be what makes the difference. It seems odd that they would vary, being from the same lake, but who knows....?
