WD 40 or pb blaster wd 40 will work on rusty pb baster is the best. Just go slowly don't force it or you will break it 👍👍 twist n pull

Weight the butt section. Hang outside by the top section. The changing temps will over time cause separation.

2 men facing each other. Each man place a hand at each side of the stuck part of the rod. Push and pull together will get it apart.

Makes sense to apply majority of ice to end with the INSIDE fitting ferule area. That's the one ya wanna shrink.

That is how I do it. Keeps the rod in alignment to prevent breaking it.

I’ve also put them in water to cool off - heat (from hot sun) causes it to stick - same with kayak paddles.
