When I saw the caption below I thought of Graveytrain 50 thread on taking his grandsons fishing last week.

I see many fishing days ahead with the boys Gt.

Not all of us have kids or Grandkids that our wisdom is being passed down too, but yet what we say and do many see and hear.

What is your future self going to be glad you did?

Gmorn Plum. I think I'll keep taking one day at a time. Be thankful for ea day i wake up. Keep taking care of Bug n the rest of the family. Regardless of how much they at times aggravate the heck out of me. πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Enjoy every minute spent with them GT. Faster than you can believe they'll be young men trying to spread their wings. You're doing a good job with them now. They'll remember those minutes also πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

When you are sitting home, old and alone, looking forward to the visits or any time spent with family moved on, trust me.... the aggravation will be insignificant memories that you rarely indulge.

It's not just your own who see you. You can have influence over many that you'll never know. The best leaders lead by example.

Main thing we did was take our kids to church every Sunday and now they do the same
Would love to take the granddaughters fishing but they don't live close and I can't find time to go myself

Love that Grizz. Old body with a brain in denial. I can relate. We raised our granddaughter for five years. I'm thankful for every moment.

Thats great brother. We raised oldest grandson from age 6 to graduation. I'd do it again if i had the opportunity. We made so many great memories. He still calls Grammy every day. Still have his bedroom on hold for him. He'll be 21 nx month. Parents that don't raise thete own kids will never know what they missed. Good thing for some they have grandparents that will do it n enjoy it πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

From the few post so far today from what i read you all are on the right path to pass on the values we learned growing up. Some were taught from parents and grandparents and some were learned on our own.

Either way it is working, caring and kindness is being paid forward and for that i will be Thankful for every tomorrow the Lord lets me share with so many good friends both here on the stage and even the person i strike up a conversation with, wherever i go.
