It’s a grocery store in the Kroger family. Ours are called Dillon’s.

Kroger is trying to worm their way into Fl but they will eventually tuck and run just like all the rest that have tried. Publix reigns supreme here and have for decades

Publix is king in Florida. Nice store but expensive, especially during snowbird season. We're not snowbirds yet as my wife and I go whatever time of year we can get time off. My mother in law lives there and it's not fair to full time residents that stores jack up prices in winter. Winn Dixie did open there 2 years ago and we like it better.

Upon further review I guess we won't be shopping at Winn Dixie next time we're in Punta Gorda.

Yeah, prices are higher there but when you walk inside you are overwhelmed with a calming, soothing feeling unlike the demolition cart derby at Walfart

You got that right.....I know all Wal-Mart's are not the same and there is no way there is another like the one I shop in. Like you I'm sort of a people watcher and I have seen a level of life that stuns me at times
