Just the other day I was reeling them in and eventually the plastic lure had enough.

I put on another of which was of a little different color. Gold flex on it vs the blue and both of a clear nature.

Must have been 20 or so cast and not even a bump. Had one more blue flex lure so figured what the heck. Sure enough bait matters, back to reeling them in.

Therefore, to relate this caption to our everyday lives. If what we do is working and we are Happy, why do we find ourselves making changes?

This is a tricky one. I don't like change when it is forced upon me. I know what works for me. On the other hand I'm not afraid to try new things. Like a new food or a new fishing hole a new lure or tecnic. Try a new road nut to see whats on it. I don't walk around the house n think that's getting old think I'll change it for something to do. If it works n in good condition it's staying. I saw contentment mentioned. I'm content with what i have. If i get more great if not it won't ruin my day. Too many take everything for granted. Smile n make the best of your day. 😄😄

This is awfully deep for a Friday morning…
I hope to strike an agreement tomorrow morning with the fish regarding the pursuit of mutual entertainment. Those I catch will entertain me and those which get released can go back and tell their friends about the 210# guy they just caught and released. A win/win for both. I hope to share some pics of any which agree to my proposal.

OJ, hope your creel negotiations are fulfilled and not just baiting you while leaving you standing on the dock.

I don’t have high expectations Bob, just have high hopes. The few times I have gotten out have been unproductive at best. I suspect my Garmin unit is stuck on demo mode 😉. Perhaps a Summer pattern has set in and I will find a few that want to go for a boat ride or perhaps a kayak ride? Looking forward to spending some time on the water, anyway!

That the right outlook OJ. Catching is nice but if not catchimg ruins the day we've missed something. Good luck 🎣🎣

Time on the water beats sitting in front of the TV watching someone else show us how easy fishing is. I often wonder how long it really takes when i see these fishing shows.

Funny how their bait works nearly every time. I watched this guy with a popping cork once on TV and nearly every cast he nailed a trout. Throwing at the shore line, pop pop and fish on. Oh so easy, Right?

Edison failed countless times before he was successful with the light bulb. Just sayin’ (sorry RJS)

Did Edison fish? Maybe I should take him. Wait, that could be a problem - he's dead. Good job from him on that light bulb idea though.

Exactly my opinion as well. On the flip side if something ISN’T working it’s not a good idea to continue to use it. Seems we never had many issues when we just had worms, home made flies and a Mepps spinner. Lol

Good morning plumbob. We live in a world of constant change, I guess it’s just our nature. I’ve been in IT my entire career and could see change happening damn near on a daily basis. You buy a new computer and it’s obsolete before you can unbox it. A lot of good things have come out of change but a lot of not so good things too. I’ve always thought if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but that logic doesn’t always work. We are always striving for something better. I guess we as humans are never happy. Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t always easy. It’s like fishing, we get comfortable using the lures we like best but but we’ve got lures in our box ya tie on but they don’t stay on long because we aren’t getting bite. I had some plastic worms in my box for a long time. I’d tie one on, fish for a bit then back in the box it would go. I never caught a fish using one. Me and a buddy of mine was bass fishing and he caught an 8.5 pound bass on one so I figured I needed to learn how to use them. Now they are one of my favorite baits. Change is in our DNA, it’s what we do!

Yes, it is ! The ability to adapt to changing climates and/or environments is what allowed
our Cro-magnon ancestors to
evolve into the homo sapiens
we are today ! Other human sub-
species (Neanderthals/Denisovans) could not adapt as we did and are
now extinct !

Those who can adapt will continue
on, while those who can't will soon
be gone !
