I suspect most that are on the water around daybreak use these......kinda handy sometimes. Years ago I had a nice Petzl lamp that disappeared from my tool chest....since then I've used the $15 Wal-Mart energizer brand....adequate I guess

I always use headlamps to fish. I have a $20 one with motion detector on it. Which I really don't use that to fish !! But I was just adding I agree headlamps are very handy cause you have both hands free yet!!

I have a couple for hunting and fishing, they come in handy when trying to find your stand, trail an animal or to keep your hands free for baiting lines or fighting and landing a fish. There are some that just clip on the bill of your hat, too.

I was in Costco earlier this year. They had a three pack for about $20. They’re Duracell brand headlamps and I love them. I fish till after dark when I go in the evening and always use one to see to get back to my truck.

I couldn’t live without them. I hunt and fish with them all the time. I’ve got 4 of them in my tackle bag but before long they’ll get put into my hunting pack. I use them around the house too. You just can’t get the job done holding a flashlight when ya need both hands to get it done.

I like the ones that have a red led. First the batteries last longer in an led and second, the red light let's you see but doesn't mess with your night vision. Also a lot of animals don't see red light.

All of the ones I’ve bought have the red light. I’ve never used it and wondered why they put red lights in them. I will be trying the red light for sure. Just one more reason I love reading the posts on this site.

I needed another head lamp and called my wife and asked her to get me a new one, I left my other one in a ground blind and wouldn’t be going to hunt in it until the wind was out of the right direction. She got me one with 400 lums and man it’s bright. But it’s got various settings on it. If it’s on bright the bugs are in your face. Put it on low and not so much. The red light is the brightest I’ve ever had. She did good!

I liked the soft blue light when i was trying to see something in blind or stand. It's nice. They come in handy when you need both hand. Better than trying to hold a rcell mag lite with your teeth 😂

Cannot beat the rechargeable with the replaceable battery in the headband. I have two pair and about 10 batteries. No more looking for triple A's or spending big bucks for good batteries.
