I fished the Eastern High Sierras most of my life for trout. I highly recommend Bridgeport Reservoir & Twin Lakes. Beautiful trout and beautiful area. Both places have quality fish but twin Lakes is the most beautiful between the two.

Go on goggle earth and do a search for Twin Lakes. Both lakes have great fishing. You can hike up the canyon for some alpine trout fishing as well. Twin Lakes is also close to Bridgeport.

If Bridgeport is your destination go to troumble lake. I think my spelling is correct. If your driving north and reach (the top) just before Bridgeport make a left and follow the signs. If you go to twin lakes I think upper twin is best.
Tons of areas to fish from lone pine to Bridgeport. I been going there for 50 years now and I still find new places. I mostly stay in bishop as use that as a centralized location.

You should tag along with him.
On opening day some lakes are still froze over. I always wait a few weeks. Fourth of July is a really great time to go because of the fireworks show.
