Hi all,
This is my first post.
I grew up freshwater fishinging in the North East and thrive on the multi-species and miriad of lures that were effective.
Relocated to San Diego Count 20+ years ago and have cause to respect the pretty big bass available here, having landed 3-10# fish from shore at Lake Dixon over last 12-years.
Unless I'm doing something wrong; I am getting sick of catching largemeouth on Senkos & dropped shotted RoboWorms.
I am limited to shore fishing and rental boats when available.
So, I'm thinking Barrett Lake should be my next target before September closing.
Anythoughts? I'm looking to catch largemouths (small mouth would be a joy) on jigs, swim jigs, swim baits, chatter baits, spinner baits and certainly top water.
If you are familiar with Barrett, a question; when you mount your electric trolling motor, do you remove the small outboard or simply mount the trolling motor alongside the outboard.
I need a change up.
