Had a good day at O'neill Forebay. Got 6 stripers, 5 on my ultra-light rig with Zoom silver fluke and 1 on a Heddon shallow crankbait. All of them about the same size, around 20". Lot's of big splashes/misses which kept it exciting. Fishing the edges of the hydrilla. I highly advise this impoundment, just check on the wind conditions before going. Can get really rough and they have a light warning system. Once the light goes red, all boats must be off the water.

1st fish of the day.

I have fished this lake with my friends from San Jose for stripers as we had no luck with stripers we changed tactics and did pick up a few bass. A beautiful lake and plenty of water foul to watch fly by while fishing.o

Yea I've caught a few largemouth out of there. Especially working a scum frog across the grass in the evening.
Going to try a Johnson silver spoon in the grass next week. They were busting all over in the hydrilla that was all the way to the top, but couldn't get anything in there that didn't snag up. Hoping the old "tried and true spoon" will get 'em.

Enjoy, for fresh water I can't think of any fish more exciting to catch.
