taking my 12-year-old grandson to the kyburz area near american river this weekend and was wondering if anyone knows a good spot where an eager but somewhat inexperienced youngster might go to catch a trout . . .
Head up to Silver Creek, there are a couple of bridges that F&G drop fish from. I've done pretty good under the bridges but you've got to be stealthy.
