I get it when people can’t safely get shots for it. I don’t get it when people say it my right etc.

Well the rest of us that have the right to avoid them… but sooner or later the responsible people shouldn’t be penalized for the not so wize people.

If a person can not safely get v******ted then stay away from everyone. Same if not v******ted stay home. Quit job that will require it to protect you and rest of employees and customers etc. When someone’s rights are ruining life for others it seems they are the ones that need to change.

They shouldn’t be able to fill up all the hospitals and stop all the rest of us from getting medical attention for other things as well.

Common sense seems to be only for some people these days.

I totally understand your frustrations, Sinker. I am not at all impressed with the way both "national administration's spokesman, F***i, nor the head of the CDC, present AND previous, have "flip-flopped" on the mask wearing.
It was always a shame that vanity and ignorance and politics, jaded the public perception of mask-wearing, in the first few months, but it's beyond sensibility to have this discussion about it going on still. It was foolish condescension, on the part of the administration, to issue the lifting of INDOOR USE in May, regardless of vax/no vax..... the country was NOWHERE NEAR "on the verge" of 'herd immunity' at that time, through v******tion or survival. Still struggling to this day, ......although good for you Louisiana, Florida, and others that were lagging so far behind.... nice uptick in v*****es the last few days !
I do hope folks will not be forced to abandon their jobs, school or relationships, in favor of maintaining their stance, be it medical, political, or simply just being skeptical of the hasty development and awaiting full FDA approval....I get that last reasoning, most of all (do I dare mention that I have a Pre-Med degree again ?.... hehehe, it's okay, go ahead, jibe me, say wh**ever...I have incredibly broad shoulders and thick skin, and just as funny as can possibly be,(re: the LarryM post, on the last 'C***d thread')my friends have often called me "Papa Smurf", the little guy with lots of white hair who is most usually the voice of reason in times of conflict... admittedly, I watched a fair amount of the Smurfs, 35 or so years ago, with my now 40yr old daughter).

Like so many instances before, we must adjust to the CURRENT prevailing wisdom, garnered from less than 2 years of dealing with this disease.

Our knowledge is still evolving, and the longer it remains unabated in pockets ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, the v***s will continue to evolve (mutate), as well. Sorry, that's simply how a v***s works and exists.
We're good, but Mother Nature is better..... always gonna challenge us. (Shall I instill further fear by bringing up the fact we now have "Beta" and "Gamma" mutations showing up, in addition to the familiar "Alpha" and "Delta" that are spread already ?...... sorry !)

Not many can answer yes, I am certain. BECAUSE WE ALL GOT V******TED FOR THEM........SOMETIMES, JUST BECAUSE WE WANTED TO GO ON VACATION TO SOMEPLACE "EXOTIC" !
If you are over 50+, you might, as I do, know a few that suffered from Polio (my Dad's secretary, my Chemistry prof in college and a friend's mother) and had they had Jonas Salk's little sugar cube to take, would have.... GLADLY. As Dr. Milford White, the prof, said...."thank the Lord it only took my legs, not my mind".
We certainly do not know what long-term effects having had EITHER the vax OR a survived case will be, but we see the hospitalized rate exceeding some benchmarks that we thought were in our past.....they are not, they are present. And the v*****e has most assuredly kept a lot of folks' convalescense out of the hospitals, so some verification of efficacy.

Like I said earlier.. common sense seems to be an option these days. People’s rights appear to supersede common sense or the country’s best interest. I think someone’s rights don’t mean special rights. Infectious Disease shouldn’t be on the list of special rights for some to knowingly spread and not care about the health of others.

Stay home and stop working in the real world if you think it’s against your rights.

I think it’s much like mandatory drug testing.

Many claimed it was unconstitutional to require drug testing for employment. Well you don’t hear people saying it anymore. They pissed in a cup or had blood tests. I had all sorts of physicals for Employment. It wasn’t against my rights either I wanted the jobs.

Once the fact that masks were to protect others was publicly announced we sure heard from the selfish groups didn’t we?
