Just got back from a week of vacation up in LG, NY. Got plenty of fishing in off my kyak.
The smallies seemed to prefer purple worms this year. Wednesday was a great day for me as I managed to boat 4 with one big one spitting the hook during a jump about 10 ft from the yak. When things slow down I go to my ultra light and catch bluegills for fun. This is the only week I use the yak nowadays since I’ve joined the boating club here on LI, and my only week of fresh water fishing. Its an annual trip that I always look forward to. This is the only fish I photoed although I caught a few larger. By the way, these Shakey Head jugs really hold the bait well.
Very nice, hard to beat going one on one with a smallie from a kayak…congrats!

Nice! I was just sailing there with a bunch of ladies and a little white dog if you happened to be there same time.
They were not into fishing unfortunately. What a gorgeous lake! I had never been there before.
Lake George is my favorite lake. Clean, clear, lots of fish. Going up in 2 weeks.
