Nice quick day you had Eye. Thanks for sharing the photos. Were you in a tournament of fishing for pleasure and relaxation?

Nice fish Eye, seems like the bite was pretty hot. Why leave at 9AM though?

Just to name of few:
The bite pretty much died.
It’s crazy busy in this part of the lake with jet skis and skiers, who have no respect for fisherman.
I have a half hour ride back to my dock and the lake starts getting rough from the big boats.
Breakfast is ready.

Nice catching Eye, I didn't know you had Stripers down there too.
I see u tube videos for big High Power boat rallies on Lake of the Ozarks. That must really make long distance running a white knuckle affair.

Hey FF. Good to hear from you.
Yep. Those whites are unbelievably strong too. I had about a dozen of them this morning; all between 1-2 lbs. while they are dun to catch I’m nit a big fan of them.
Summer on this lake is crazy. You are okay until about 10 am at the latest; then it’s time to get off the water. The heat is a killer as well; was 95 today.

Good to hear from you as well Eye, looks like a fun morning. I wish I was close enough to water to walk out the door in the early morning and be there already. Are the crowds there on weekdays all summer long? Up here the weekdays are about 50%less crowded than the weekends. I find myself hoping for overcast, days, with a light shower,to discourage the water sports people. It helps with the temperature as well.

During the week is not as bad; but still busy. A lot of folks have moved down here from St. Louis, Iowa and Kansas after the pandemic, when they realized they could work remotely. Two of my wife’s friends who are in their 50s and had vacation/weekend homes here, sold there big homes up in St. Louis and now live her permanently. I can tell by the traffic congestion there are a lot more people here now than ever before.

Yeah, boat sales skyrocketed last year, and we see it up here as well. We try to get on, and off the water, before the
"trainees "show up.
Especially at the launch ramp.
