Top fish is a Bream, but not a Blue Gill. A blue Gill has a blunt face and broad thick shoulders. The older and bigger he gets the darker. until he will almost be black.

Exactly my thoughts Jim. I use to see a lot of them 1960 70 part of the 80s but not anymore. Did you ever notice they had a funny smell?
